The online support available at Findley's is quite extensive.

Below are details of the main sections of the site that may appeal to you.

If you have not already looked the knowledge base is the most visited section of the website by far. It comprises the main sections below. As well as that there are pages which deal with specific areas on their own such as the Legal Matters page.

Knowledge base:- The Knowledge Base is the central repository for information on this website. It comprises the main sections detailed below.

• Practical Tutorials:- The Practical Tutorials are designed as memory aids for anyone who is learning to drive with any driving instructor. They cover the main points and in some cases go into further detail. The intention here is that you can use them to keep your knowledge up to date between lesons and find out about subjects that your instructor has indicated that you will be doing next lesson. Forewarned is surely the best reason to be forearmed.



• Articles:- These Articles cover subjects that are useful to pupils whilst they are still learning as well as subjects which will seem to have little relevance until they have passed. Well worth a look though.



• Highway Code:- Every pupil should read this section thoroughly. The Highway Code is essential reading for everyone who wishes to learn to drive.

The tests:- These days there are three tests that you have to pass. The theory and hazard perception tests which have to be taken simultaneously on the same day, and of course the famous practical driving test. The practical driving test also has a component known as the show me/tell me questions which I have included for you as well.

• theory:- All the information that you could ever wish for about the theory test.



• hazard perception:- The hazard perception test is newer than the theory test and has to be completed on the same day.



• practical:- The practical driving test. What will occur and what to expect as well as a few tips are well covered here.



• show me/tell me questions:- The show me/tell me questions are the newest part of the practical driving test. These are the bit where you may be required to lift the bonnet. Read to find out more.

Legal matters:- Beginners need to know about the rules for accompanying drivers and other such matters. A Legal Matters page seems a good place to find out.

Environmental section:- The environmental impact of car production and disposal as well as the everyday running costs (to the environment, not the financial ones) are something that should concern us all. At the moment this section (page really) is undergoing a complete revamp and will be moved into the knowledge base once completed.
