4) Online resources are available for further study between driving lessons

This website contains a 'Knowledge Base'. Available to you on the right hand side of the browser just in case you missed it. The combined importance of these sections of the site to your driving education should not be underestimated.

The 'Practical Tutorials' section is the one that you will mainly use between lessons, both to keep your existing knowledge up to date and to expand into new areas in preparation for your next lesson.

The Highway Code has been copied (with crown copyright permission) in its entirety so that you can study it in tandem with the practical tutorials section. Where necessary to illustrate a point there are links between our own tutorials and the various pages of the highway code. Incorporating this into the site means that we are not drawing on other peoples resources.

The articles that you will find in the 'Articles' section here are expansions on topics that I have discussed with pupils on lessons at different times and it occured to me that it would be a good idea for all of the pupils to share the information.

The remaining sections contain specific advice upon the parts of the tests that you must pass to acquire a driving licence that they pertain to. The exception is the 'DL25D' section which is an analysis of the report form that is issued if you fail a driving test.

No other school that I know of provides significant online resources for their pupils to enable distance learning between lessons.

Regular use of the online resources betwen lessons reduces the number of lessons required for an average pupil. I am not claiming that they will benefit everyone massively, but they do benefit the majority of pupils that use them. The pupils that take the time to study more between lessons are the ones that pass in fewer lessons.

Of course, the costs of developing, maintaining and providing bandwidth for these resources are inclusive within the lesson fee.
