The D.S.A Car Theory Test. The recommended Car Theory Test discs containing both the Theory Test and Hazard Perception Test clips. It is important that you train for the theory test before you attampt it at a D.S.A Theory Test Centre. The D.S.A Car Theory Test.

At Findley's we were concerned that not enough people passed their Car Theory Test and Hazard Perception Test at the first attempt.

All professional driving schools should be interested in helping their pupils to pass their car theory test and hazard perception test. It is not acceptable for them to simply take the driving lesson money and tell you to study for the car theory test yourself. The car theory test needs practice.

At Findley's Driving School we enable you to have as much car theory test practice as you require by recommending this product from Focus Multimedia. Available from Amazon or other online retailers it is much cheaper than the official D.S.A discs but contains all of the same information. This product will simulate the Car Theory Test and Hazard Perception Tests for you exactly as they are in the theory test centre.

Car Theory Test CD/ROM set

The Theory Test CD/ROM set will be very useful to you

The D.S.A Car Theory Test. The Theory Test Pass Certificate is your reward for passing both the Theory Test and Hazard Perception Tests concurrently. The D.S.A Car Theory Test.

On your first driving lesson, to start with, you are basically a pedestrian that has sat on the 'wrong' side of the car. The car theory test questions would mean little to you at this time. It is true to say that the car theory test is common sense. It is. The car theory test questions are common sense to drivers!

Feel free to use your Findley's instructor as a resource while you are studying for the Car Theory Test. If you do not understand any of the questions or the answers given then it is our job to give you a proper explanation. Don't struggle, ask!

What to expect at the Car Theory Test Centre

The Car Theory Test Centre is not as daunting as you might expect.

Finding the car theory test centre should not be too difficult. They are well known locally and anyone who works near to one has been asked a thousand times, "Excuse me, could you tell me where the local car theory test centre is please?"

Upon arrival at the car theory test centre you will need to show both parts of yur driving licence as proof of identity. Take a seat in the waiting room and wait until your time comes. You will be called through to take your seat in one of the theory test booths.

For your Car Theory Test you will have a booth to yourself, separated from others by tall screens. This is good because after a while, once you have started to read the instructions for the car theory test, you will feel more settled. It would be horrible if you could see other people looking around at you while doing your car theory test. You would probably start to look around at others too. This cannot happen, which is quite reassuring.

The Car Theory Test now comes in two parts. There is the thirty five question multiple choice part, and then there is the newer Hazard Perception Test.

Taking the Car Theory Test

There is a standard format for actually taking the D.S.A Car Theory Test

The D.S.A Car Theory Test. All candidates sit both the Theory Test and Hazard Perception Test at a computer terminal in just the same way that they did at home.

For the Car Theory Test itself you will sit at a touch screen computer and answer thirty five multiple choice questions from which you must get thirty correct to pass. You have forty minutes to complete this part of the car theory test.

This is plenty of time to do a car theory test. You will find yourself finishing early. Good! Use this time to go over your answers again and make certain that you are happy with them.

The car theory test and Hazard Perception Test run concurrently.

When your Car Theory Test is over you can take a short break if you wish before your Hazard Perception Test starts. However, both tests have to be passed on the same day. If you are unfortunate in either the theory or hazard perception tests then you will have to re-book and sit both of them again.

Nobody that I have met likes this format but for the time being it is what you have to work with.
