Findley's Driving School
This section details the terms and conditions under which we provide driving lessons
Lessons
- On your first lesson you must bring with you a both parts of a valid driving licence.
- You must bring with you any glasses or contact lenses that you need in order to see properly. It is a legal requirement that we check your eyesight prior to teaching you to drive.
- Any Glasses or Contacts that you need must be brought every lesson. We cannot proceed with the lesson if you do not have them.
- Lessons are one full hour in duration. If the instructor is late then the time will be added to the end of the lesson. If you are late then you lose that period of the lesson.
- If you do not turn up at the beginning of the lesson the instructor will wait for fifteen minutes before leaving. If this is not possible due to parking restrictions then the Instructor will return to see if you have arrived as often as is reasonably possible.
Cancellations
- Any instructor has the freedom to choose their own cancellation policy.
- Your instructor will make their cancellation policy known to you on the first lesson.
- You will be given as much notice as possible if circumstances force your instructor to cancel a lesson.
Free lessons
- While you are a pupil of Findley's Driving School, if you introduce a new pupil, we have a special offer for you. The next lesson that you take after that persons first lesson; will be provided free of charge as a thank you.
Payments
- If you pay for your lessons individually then the money will be taken at the start of every lesson.
Free for you
There are many useful areas on this website which are free for you to use as a valuable aid between lessons.

Test bookings
- Payment will be required in full for theory or driving tests before they are booked.
- If you ask us to cancel or change a test booking and loose the fee to the D.S.A because of the lateness of your decision, we will not refund the fee.
Data protection act
- Any information that it is necessary to collect about you will be taken only with your full permission. This information will not be disclosed to any other parties except the Driving Standards Agency for the purpose of booking tests. All information will be deleted once you cease to be a pupil of Findley's.
Code of practice
- The Driving Instructors Voluntary Code of Practice will be adhered to at all times by Findley's Driving School.
