Legalities regarding both us in particular, and learning to drive in general

This small section is here to help you through some of the legal requirements that exist relating to learning to drive.

Terms and conditions

These are the terms and conditions by which Findley's Driving School conducts its business.

I have tried not to make them too onerous but there are certain things that just have to be covered.

Getting the rules straight from the start makes it easier for everyone.

Our terms and conditions

Minimum service levels

I am proud to say that there are quite a few points that distinguish this driving school from others.

You will want to know what they are of course.

At Findley's Driving School we believe that the following set of driving school promises are the minimum requirements that you should be able to expect from any instructor.

Minimum service levels

Voluntary Code of Practice

Within the driving instruction industry there is a voluntary code of practice which I am perfectly happy to live up to.

If you are considering using a different school of motoring you may wish to ask them if they can say the same.

If not, why not? You can read it here.

Voluntary Code of Practice

Minimum vehicle requirements

If you are planning to allow a learner to practice in your vehicle then these are the requirements that you will have to fulfill if you also wish for them to take their practical driving test in the vehicle.

Having read them, you may well decide that they are a good idea for your time in the car as well.

Minimum vehicle requirements

Accompanying a learner driver

You need more than just a driving licence to be legally able to accompany a learner driver on their practices.

For a start you cannot be a newly qualified driver yourself.

The details can be found below.
