How many lessons will I need?

This is the first thing that many people want to know and it is a very difficult question to answer.

Every one of our pupils is an individual and as such will learn at different speeds. There is nothing wrong with this.

Some very fortunate pupils understand everything the first time around and manage to co-ordinate it. For most people this is not the case. These are two important factors in determining how long it will take. You are going to learn a complex skill requiring co-ordination, forward planning, excellent anticipation and yes, mind reading the other drivers would be an advantage.

I have put pupils in for test after twenty to twenty five lessons. They were marvellous. Absorbed knowledge like a sponge, co-ordination and car sympathy developed quickly and they were very confident without being over confident. They were also able to take maximum advantage of the private practice available to them. Great.

The average is probably around forty lessons before a test can be applied for and for some it is longer than that. We are happy to take nervous pupils and pupils who have failed many times before they come to us.

The main thing that you need to know is that no matter what your level of ability, you will not be sold any more lessons than you need.
