Do you have dual-controls?

This question, "Do you have dual-controls?" makes me laugh.

I do not know a single driving instructor who would even contemplate giving instruction without their dual-controls. Especially with new or nearly new pupils.

It is accepted by everyone else, quite correctly in my opinion, that the driving instructor has the ability to take control of the vehicle at any time should the need arise. The only way that we can do this effectively is with the availability of dual contols. If we did not have them then in a lot of circumstances the handbrake would be the only method of affecting the car available to us. This is plainly unacceptable.

You can take for granted that all instructors with Findley's driving school have dual-controls. If you wish to train in your own vehicle with your instructor then it at their discretion as to when the transition can be made from their vehicle (with dual-controls) to your vehicle (without). You will be doing pretty well before this point is reached.
