Assessment lessons
Do you want an assessment lesson
Have you ever wondered what a professional would think of your driving?
An assessment lesson is an ideal way of finding out
An assessment lesson is not an admission that there is something wrong with your driving style. I see it as a step taken by good drivers who wish to know how they may improve.
We will cover a variety of road types (town, country, dual carriageway) and whilst we are out I will assess your driving technique for efficiency and safety. Ideally you will demonstrate good co-ordination with the controls of the vehicle. Sufficient effective observations to recognise hazards in advance, appropriate speed control and anticipation of the movement of other road users. Your indications and positioning at junctions will be correct and throughout the session you will maintain a courteous attitude towards others, even if they do not extend the same level of courtesy to you.
The following is my suggested format for the session. It may be changed on the day by circumstances, or if you prefer a different format then so be it.
I suggest that the session is broken into three sections. The first section will be ten minutes after which we will pull in and recap it. I will tell you about any changes that you should make and what the benefit to you will be.
When the second ten minute section is complete we can discuss how the changes are going and discuss any other minor mistakes that have come to light.
The remainder of the session will be as one section, with any further suggestions given as you drive.
At the end of the session I will highlight for you areas of your driving that have improved as well as any areas of improvement that may remain.
It only remains for me to thank you in advance for caring enough to take this step.
